Gentle by default

Say you're nervous and we pace it to you.

An implant is a small titanium anchor placed in the jaw that carries a custom-made replacement tooth. It looks, feels and works like the tooth you lost. You eat what you like, brush as normal, and forget it isn't original. Planned digitally and placed precisely, it's the closest modern dentistry comes to turning back the clock.

This is for you if

  • You've lost a tooth and want a fixed, permanent replacement
  • You have a denture you're tired of taking out
  • A gap is changing how you chew or how you smile

Step by step

How it works

  1. 1

    Assessment & 3D planning

We examine the site, take scans, and plan the exact position digitally before anything begins. You'll see the plan and the price before you decide.

  2. 2

    Placement

The implant is placed in a single, carefully anaesthetised visit. Most people are surprised how uneventful it feels, and go back to their day after.

  3. 3

    Healing

Over the following weeks the implant fuses quietly with the bone. We check on you and keep you comfortable throughout.

  4. 4

    Your new tooth

A custom crown, matched to your natural teeth, is fitted to the implant. Then you go smile with it.

A closer look

What is actually happening under the crown

The post below does the work your natural root used to. Once it fuses with the bone, the crown on top behaves like any other tooth: you bite, chew and clean it exactly as normal.

Honest answers

Does getting an implant hurt?

The placement is done under local anaesthetic, so you feel pressure but not pain. Most patients manage any after-soreness with ordinary pain relief for a day or two.

How long does the whole process take?

Typically two to four months from placement to final crown, most of that is quiet healing time between short visits.

How long do implants last?

With good care and regular check-ups, implants routinely last decades. They are the most durable tooth replacement dentistry offers.

My tooth has been missing for years. Am I too late?

Rarely. Bone does shrink where a tooth is missing, so we scan first to measure what you have. If there isn't enough, a small graft rebuilds the site and the implant follows a few months later.

Is an implant my only option?

An implant stands on its own and leaves your neighbouring teeth untouched, which is why we recommend it. If it is not right for you, we will say so and talk you through what else is possible, including doing nothing for now.

Will my HMO cover an implant?

Cover varies by plan, and implants are often partly covered rather than fully. Send us your HMO details before you book and the front desk confirms exactly what yours includes.
